  • Lisa Kaempf: Charleston, SC. Dependent. RAF Bentwaters/RAF Woodbridge, Jun 1987-91, SEC Police. Looking for Marc Gosik and wife Denise. They had 3 girls and lived on RAF Benwaters. He was an Air Traffic Controller. I would love to hear from any other friends from that time frame.11/26/05
  • Ricky Kaempf: Charleston, SC. RAF Bentwaters/RAF Woodbridge, Jun 1986-91, 81st SPS, SP Armory. It was a great tour with great people to work with: Mike Graham, Bob Wasik, Mike Boyd. 11/26/05
  • Gregory P Kalinoski(Ret MSgt): RAF Bentwaters/Woodbridge, 1982-84 & 1987-92, Security Police Squadron. RAF Alconbury 1975-78 and RAF Molesworth 1985-87. But I really preferred Suffolk, I lived in Trinity St Martin, Leiston and Kesgrave. Favorite towns, Dedham, Dunwich, Southwold and many others. Remember security's operation FERRET don't forget operation JAADE (Joint Anglo American Defense Exercise) the rumble with the British Army behind the NMSA & "Charlie NAAPA) Woodbridge, got to go to BAD Toltz Germany 1986 as a Platoon Sergeant and have the 10th Special Forces really knock the stuffing out of consolidated Platoon of 30 Cops from 4 UK bases and a couple of cops from HQ Ramstein. Was deployed in December of 82 to Egypt when almost 1/2 of "B" Security was busted, MSgt Jim Dugan was the Flight Chief. Then there was the great Bunny Bust for "B" flight LE in 83. Of course I should mention Ron Sauls, one of the most reliable and steadfast cops I ever worked with. Then there was Kelly Snider (who would not suffer fools gladly - any one remember the dining out 1991 or 1992 where he roasted every one in sight), he was the best Security Stan Eval evaluator I ever worked with and I was his superintendent. Yes, I saw many things at BW/WB, like a Peace Keeper Armored Vehicle doing 90 plus MPH on the south taxiway, or the jeep that went to the top of lookout hill (post 21?) in the "B" NAAPA. And for all those folks who left "B" flight and were baptized with death juice from the ECP post hole. 1Lt Fred Flanders and his yellow car, who found Garfield the cat with his throat cut... RAF BW/WB was a great assignment. 12/14/00

Paul ?: Ft Walton Beach, FL. RAF Bentwaters, 1987-1989, 81st Trans Sq. Combat Aviation Advisor now at 6 SOS, AFSOC. Enjoy visiting your page for the memories. Lost a wife there, but made four great friends. Denis Guyer (Biomed) just elected Town Selectman for the city of Dalton, MA. Steve Steelman (81 Trans) still at Rocky Flats Plant, Denver. We've all visited one another this year. Now that I'm retiring, friendships made at RAF Bentwaters were the highlight of my career. One friend dropped-off last year, Klause Fleishman, suppose he wanted to discard the RAF Bentwater's past. So, from Den, Paul and Steelballs, an Ode to Klause. MaryAnn Shepherd-Ramirez (510th) also doing well, still at Tinker, AFB. I'm sorry that we won't be able to attend the 81st Reunion because of a 1st TDS ruinion in Tucson during that same time period. I was the commander of our detachment at RAF Bentwaters and worked closely with the 91st FS to accomplish their mission. Sounds like the 81st is well organized now after some humble beginnings. I was able to attend one of the early reunions in Las Vegas in the early 60's. We exercised our deployment plan when we moved to RAF Woodbridge becaused they closed the RAF Bentwaters runway for a 9 month period. I accompanied the 91st to N Africa in the spring of 1958 for two weeks for training support. RAF Bentwaters and RAF Woodbridge was a great experience and I still correspond with individuals who were assigned there when I was. I retired 1 Aug 1979 as a Lt Col with over 28 yrs active duty. 2/22/03
